As to the ideological content and styles, Li Qingzhao’s Ci-poems can be devided into 2 stages: the early and the later. And the boundary is Exile-to-the-South. The styles of her Ci-poems were influenced by the changes of her life and the environments. In the early stage, Li Qingzhao’s life was full of happiness, and her thoughts were positive. So her Ci-poems focused on zenana things in her girlhood and youth; she liked to express the passion for the nature and the depression of departure of her husband. The subjects of his Ci-poems in this stage were limited, mainly included outings, drinking, enjoying flowers, zeenana love, etc. And the style in this stage was smooth, sprightly, graceful and natural. After Exile-to-the-South, the country having been defeated and the home lost, Li Qingzhao had a strong feeling of misery of life, and she began to care the realistic society. She expressed feelings about her experiences in her writings, and the style had a sudden change: the Ci-poems were full of depressions and sorrows, and easy to understand. It is obvious that her excellent art tact, her elegant and graceful art style, plus the comprehensive and profound connotation made poetry of Song Dynasty have a fantastic shine.
